And although I have two more exams, I'm not too worried.
Why? Well, today I finally got to see my doctor. For the first time in my life I got a doctor who knew what he was talking about, was well educated and had obviously been in the profession a long time. As soon as I explained to him about my Poly-Cystic Ovary Syndrome, and how the medications I've been on before have been ineffective, he came to the same conclusion as I had. Consequently he prescribed me with Metformin, which is exactly what I'd hoped he'd do.
I don't know if it will have any effect on my weight, but here's to hoping it will at least make me healthier! Today has been another celebration, and so I think I'll start again. I'll weigh myself every two weeks, I think, so see if the Metformin is doing anything. (I can't weigh more often than that, because I don't own scales. The only free ones are at the doctor's...)
So, todays aim has been to eat between 1,000 and 1,300 kcal.
How'd it go?
- Yoghurt -- approx. 78 kcal.
- Raisins & cranberries -- approx. 155 kcal.
- Some kind of vegetarian taco from the canteen -- approx. 350 kcal.
- Rice and steamed veg (carrots, peas, cauliflower) -- approx. 150 kcal.
- One chocolate chip cookie -- approx 200 kcal.
- One mug of coffee -- 50 kcal.
- One apple -- 90 kcal.
- One glass of coke -- 200 kcal.
As of today at 2:30pm, I weighed: 70kg exactly. (Or 154.323584 pounds).
I need to weigh (according to my doctor): 60kg. (Or approx. 132 pounds). That seems like a lot to me, still, but we'll see how I feel if I get there!
