A brief induction into madness...

Well, here we are. After trying (unsucessfully) to lose weight for a very long time, I guess it's about time to do something serious about it. I figured what better way to keep track of myself, my food and my exercise than in a place like this? It's online, so humiliation is entirely possible - and fear is probably the only way I'm ever go to achieve anything - and for a computer savvy 18 year old, it's perhaps the best place to keep track of The Big Diet.

For anybody out there reading this, I feel like this is my last chance before I lose hope. I'm 18, female, and only 4'11" in height, yet I weigh an amazing 71.5kg on a bad day. That's 157.6 pounds! Now, I'm no expert, but I assume that I should be at least 20 or 30 pounds lighter than I am, if not more -- and this is where the blog comes in. I will try and update every day, keeping track of what I have eaten, how many calories involved and how much of it I have burnt of. With any luck, this just might work!

For all those interested, feel free to follow me on this quest of mine, or even join in yourself! Hopefully it'll bring us some results.
